Ms. Cyril Eisen
October 23, 1923 - September 30, 2016
Cyril (Cyrilla) Dorfman Eisen was born in Brooklyn, NY. She married an Air Force officer after WWII and spent many years traveling to the Caribbean and Europe. She took up painting while stationed in Orlando, FL in the 1950s, and continued lessons with Spanish painters while living in Spain in the 1960s. Her world revolved around the teachers and friends who shared her love of painting and art. She was a member of the Central Brevard Art Association where she and other artists enjoyed learning and sharing new techniques as well as exhibiting their work. Her entry in the Space Coast Art Festival won first place in 2002. Cyril enjoyed a wide circle of friends everywhere she lived. She was a positive person, loved to laugh, and loved to learn about the adventurous lives of friends and new people she would meet. She was very independent, and was blessed to have lived independently for 40 years until she passed away on September 30, 2016. She is survived by her daughter Karen Eckhoff and son-in-law Robert Eckhoff of Fort Collins, Colorado. Her remains will be at Riverview Memorial Gardens, 3751 N Hwy 1 (Cocoa Blvd), Cocoa, FL 32926.
