Mr. Thomas A. “Sonny” Perry
April 19, 1938 - November 21, 2020
He moved to South Carolina in the early 1970’s where he was a mason brick layer. He helped build the Pond Branch United Methodist Church, Gilbert Elementary School, and the Lexington County jail. He moved to Comstock Park, Michigan to begin his retirement. He later moved to Florida in August of 2014 to continue his retirement. He loved being a rodeo rider, riding bulls and horses and earning buckles and trophies and traveling throughout the United States. He was also a military nurse during his service in the United States Army, and took care of various levels and branches of military personnel. Sonny also worked as a weather man, and interviewed various celebrities. Sonny is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Roger Hann; sister, Judy Robertson and beloved son, Norvin Howard Perry. He is survived by his partner and caregiver, Arlene Rosanne Perry (Titusville, Fl.) with whom he spent the remainder of his years; sons, Mike (Bronda) Perry, Lane (Lisa) Perry; daughter, Anita Abernathy; sister, Maryjane “Peggy” (Larry) Patten who resides in Cocoa, Florida; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren all residing in South Carolina.
