Mr. Timothy Allen Melloh

Our hearts are broken by the passing of our dear Timothy Allen Melloh. Tim died peacefully Saturday, March 25, 2023, surrounded by family, friends, and his devoted shadow - Stella. Tim was born April 14, 1961 in Rockford, Illinois to Richard (Dick) and Mary Valdona (Val) Melloh. Eventually, the family that included Tim’s younger sister Patti, moved to Cocoa, Florida where Dick became employed in the space industry with Rockwell. Tim graduated from Cocoa High School and attended Brevard Community College before beginning what would be a life-long career in the golf industry. As a Class A Member of the PGA, he worked as the General Manager of the Florida State University Don Veller Golf Course for 18 years and oversaw a major redesign of the course and facilities. In 2015, Tim became Viera East Community Development District Manager and Golf Course Manager. His dedication, leadership, and profound love for the game of golf made Tim highly respected and deeply appreciated in his field. On March 31, 2001, Tim married the love of his life, Christine Kirkland. Together, they built a beautiful life and were blessed with a son, Brady. Tim was devoted to his family and friends and cherished time spent with those he loved. When not on the golf course, Tim loved cheering on Notre Dame football and fishing with Brady and his brother-in-law John. He was kindhearted, generous, loyal, and had terrible taste in music. Given the many other fine traits he personified, he was easily forgiven. An expert crafter of dad jokes and endurer of shenanigans, Tim was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. We are lost, but grateful for the time shared and memories made with this exceptional man. Tim is survived by his loving wife Christine, son Brady, sister Patti, sister-in-law Marianne Sander (John), and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and nephew Steven Sheaffer. A memorial mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (5135 N Cocoa Boulevard, Cocoa, Florida) on Saturday, April 1 at 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life gathering will follow at Hook & Eagle Tavern (Viera East Golf Club, 2300 Clubhouse Drive, Rockledge, Florida) at 12:30 pm. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy consider making a donation to their charity of choice in Tim’s name. He would have loved that.
