Honoring His Life Dennis “Denny” P. Barile entered into eternal rest peacefully on April 3, 2017 in Port St. John, Florida at the age of 68 after his courageous battle with a short illness. Denny was born on January 9, 1949 in New Haven, Connecticut. After graduating from East Haven high school in 1967 he served as a Navy Corpsman during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and Brunswick, Maine. He then went on to serve as a medic with the Connecticut Department of Corrections due to his passion and dedication for the medical field. After 20 years and earning the title as Captain, he retired from the Department of Corrections. To keep active after his retirement, Denny built and remodeled homes and would continue his love of medicine, working for Essex Shoreline Clinic as a phlebotomist. In 2011, Denny decided to leave the cold and snow for warm weather and palm trees in Coastal Florida. He would continue to keep active, working part time at Home Depot in Titusville, Florida and remodeling his home. He would spend his free time woodworking, fishing, crabbing, road trips, and spent many days enjoying Disney World. Denny was predeceased by his loving parents Peter and Louise Barile. He is survived by his longtime partner and best friend, Susan Ledger; his children, Kerri Barile, Kate Barile Cotto, Christopher Denison, and Kelly Ledger; son-in law, Douglas Cotto; his grandchildren, Cameron and Riley Cotto; his brother, Peter Barile II and his wife Pamela; former wife Donna Barile; his nephews, nieces, a large extended family, and many friends. A private service to commemorate his life will be held in Connecticut. You left us beautiful memories, Your love will always be our guide, And though we cannot see you , You're always at our side.
