Mr. John A. Taylor Sr.

John A. Taylor Sr. JT/Sonny was born in Munich, Germany on January 10, 1963, he grew up on the westside of Jacksonville, FL, he earned the highest honor of Eagle Scout when he was a Boy Scout; as he grew up he developed his love of Southern Rock, his favorite band Lynyrd Skynyrd, favorite song "Freebird". He attended high school in Jacksonville: upon Graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1981; he was a combat medic the medals he received with his time in the service were marksman Badge M-16, Expert Badge Hand Grenade, Parachute Badge, Army and Service Ribbon. He was also special forces, he was stationed in Grenada. After his service in the Army he came back to the states and he worked different jobs, until he found his love of the fire Service. He volunteered at 4 Communities Fire Department and also Cape Canaveral Volunteer Fire Department. He was hired in October of 1989 with Cocoa, Fire Rescue; there he spent 28 years of service where he was medically retired in October of 2017. John graduated from Brevard Community College in 2006 with AS degree in Fire Science Technology. JT had a love for life he loved his job, his family, and his music.
