He served as a life guard in High School and was on the dive team in college. He made sure all of his children knew how to swim since they were out boating with him many times. Buddy was a true Floridian as his favorite attire was a bathing suit and crocs except for on Sunday when he dressed up for church. Fishing was his number one pastime. He took many fishing trips in the Gulf with his children and one of his favorite places to fish was in the Florida Keys where he caught a 45 lb dolphin. The Coral Sea, a 45’ Matthews yacht, was his pride and joy (besides his children and loving wife). Many wonderful trips were made to the Keys and the Bahamas. He had many dogs over the years, but Dobermans were his treasured pets. He could never decide which he loved the most – Babe, Bubba, Caleb or Bebe. All were rescue dogs. In his later years, riding his trike gave him much happiness, especially when he rode with Alice. He really enjoyed camping in his motor home. Some of his favorite times were trips with the South Florida Winnie Gators Club and the many trips to Key Largo. There is one time in particular while camping in Key Largo that was one for the memory books. While attempting to pull a small boat out of the water on a steep ramp, suddenly the motor home took off down the ramp and sank in 20’ of water. Thankfully, everyone, including the dog, was out of the motor home at the time. Buddy took a lot of teasing about that one and took it all in stride. Buddy was a very hard worker and could out work people half his age even into his later years. He could fix anything too. He was a man of many talents. He was a true family man. He taught his children the love of family and taking care of each other. He also taught them the love of camping and the water. Many trips were spent either camping or boating. He was most comfortable when he was on the water. Buddy Webb was one of a kind and will be truly missed by his family and loving wife.
