Mrs. Sharon A. Gray

Sharon Gray, of Brevard County, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2026, following a long, courageous battle with multiple health issues. Sharon was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on June 10, 1939. She graduated from Hewitt-Trussville High School in 1957 and briefly attended college, during which time she worked as a telephone operator. It was during her college days that she met the love of her life and husband of 59 years, Russell Gray. The couple married in Birmingham and then settled in the East Lake area of the town. Russ & Sharon had two children, Lisha and Todd. As a loyal supporter of The University of Alabama, Sharon watched them play football every Saturday since the 1950s. Roll Tide! In 1964, Russ’s career transferred him to the Kennedy Space Center, and the family relocated to Brevard County. Sharon was a fantastic wife, homemaker, and mother whose love for her family knew no bounds. In 1969, following a freak accident that injured her daughter, Lisha, in Oviedo, Florida, Sharon became a tireless health advocate for her daughter, supporting her unconditionally until Lisha’s passing in 2015. Sharon was also an integral part of the family business. Russ and Sharon joined Precision Fabricating & Cleaning Company, Inc. (PFC) in Cocoa, Florida, alongside partners Jack and Penny Shye. Sharon supported Russ and the company with dedication, by contributing financially, helping with business decisions, traveling, managing the office, and providing general support for the family business. She did all this while still taking wonderful care of her kids and family. One of Sharon’s greatest joys was watching her children grow, marry, and build wonderful families of their own. She was immensely proud of them. Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russell Gray her Daughter Lisha Dahoda. She is survived by her son, Todd Gray, and his wife, Debbie and her son-in-law, Art Dahoda (husband of the late Lisha). She was grandmother to Gabby Orcutt (Donald), Taylor Couch (Jake), Bailey Civelli (Josh), and Jamie Munroe (Tyler) and great-grandmother to Orion, Madeline, Lucy, Parker, and Theodore. She loved all of them very much. Sharon was known for legendary shopping trips, including excursions to New York City where she took each of her grandchildren. She poured energy into making holidays and birthdays unforgettable, including Easter, the 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and especially Christmas. Her Christmas gifts and the atmosphere she created will remain an extra special tradition that her family will carry forward. The family will hold a private service to celebrate Sharon's life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Sharon’s name to your local Humane Society, honoring the immense joy that her and Russ's dogs brought to their lives over the years.
